MeatLoaf has made guest appearances on several TV shows and in movies like “Fight Club” and “Wayne’s World,” as well as the cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

The singer admitted that health issues hampered his recent performances. But in November, he announced on Facebook that he was ready to get back to work in the studio in the new year after four back operations.

“The back surgeries hurt everything. Before the back surgeries, I was still trying to do shows, and that’s when some of you saw or heard of me collapsing on stage and finally stopping the tour in the UK. I couldn’t hit high notes because of back pain. Not a slight back pain. Pain that would bring you to your knees,” he wrote.

MeatLoaf went to the hospital in 2016 after collapsing onstage in Edmonton, Canada. A spokeswoman at the time indicated dehydration was the cause.
