Monster Hunter Rise: The PS5 And PS4 Version Of The Game Lives Up To The Hype

As you are aware Monster Hunter Rise is a widely acclaimed action role playing game. It is the sixth part in the Monster Hunter series which was widely appreciated by the fans around the globe when it was released on Nintendo Switch and Windows. In this article we will discuss everything we know about Monster Hunter Rise.

Monster Hunter Rise

In Monster Hunter Rise, you play the role of a Hunter tasked with killing or capturing huge monsters by using a wide range of weapons, equipment, and environmental characteristics to injure and weaken them while avoiding or escaping their attacks.

About two years after its initial release on the Nintendo Switch and about a year after its release on PC, Monster Hunter Rise will soon be accessible on PlayStation systems. Until then, Capcom has decided not to patch up the game’s minor issues. So, Monster Hunter Rise works perfectly well on both the PS5 and PS4, as you might expect from the big jump in hardware power between the PS5 and PS4 and the Switch.

The Playstation Version Of Monster Hunter Rise Lives Up To The Expectations

If you’re a fan of the game and want to get a feel for how it plays before its January 20th, 2023 release date, I highly recommend checking out the PC version. Monster Hunter Rise on PS5 looks quite similar to how it does on PC, and there is a large selection of graphical options for players to alter to their liking.

That being said, there are several differences from the PC version. Like recent cross-generational releases, if you don’t want to delve into the nitty-gritty of option-tweaking, you can just decide to have the game “prioritise graphics” or “prioritise framerate” in general, so the graphical settings aren’t quite as deep as they could be.

Monster Hunter Rise on PS5 can be rendered at up to 4K resolution and 60 frames per second using the “graphics” option. The “framerate” parameter reduces some other settings to achieve a maximum of 120 frames per second at 1080P. Of course, this assumes that your display device is capable of displaying the necessary modes.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to check how the game ran in 4K because I was only using a 1080p monitor with my PS5. However, while playing normally, I did not see any noticeable framerate drops in Monster Hunter Rise. It’s worth noting that the cutscenes still appear to be timed for 30 FPS (just like on the Switch), so while you could experience some “slowdown” at certain points, it’s not due to any technical difficulties. It Also Uses The Unique Capabilities Of PS5

Monster Hunter Rise on PS5 also makes use of several of the PS5’s specialised features. Features like the DualSense controller’s haptic trigger and rumble can be used. Sure enough, there is some additional resistance while firing the Bow or Bowgun.

When blocking a monster’s attack, melee weapons like the Lance, Gunlance, Charge Blade, and Sword and Shield provide a small “kick.” Tempest 3D Audio, available on the PS5, is also supported. Using a headphone, I was able to block out most ambient noise and focus on the sounds of the hunt.

Even while this is to be expected given Sony‘s latest hardware, a PS4 Pro can run Monster Hunter Rise almost as smoothly. The game is playable even in its highest graphics setting, 4K, and it even runs more smoothly than it does on Switch (though with a few noticeable framerate drops while looking at wider vistas). Even during brief hunts, the PS4 Pro’s fans would spin up like a jet engine as it worked to render the game at 4K. You can also check Forza Horizon 5 Open World.

The PS5’s usage of speedy SSD storage is another perk. As a result, I saw a significant decrease in loading times compared to my PS4 Pro tests. When loading into Kamura village on the PS5, it only took about five or six seconds, whereas it took twenty on the PS4 Pro. This made it impossible to read the loading screen recommendations before the screen changed. I think the PS5 is better than the PS4 if you can choose between the two.

With support for cross-platform matchmaking for PlayStation platforms, PS5 owners can be certain that they won’t be left out of the action. Cross-save is a feature they won’t have access to, though. Due to the incompatibility between the PS4 and PS5, I had to repeat the initial Monster Hunter Rise hunts on my PS4 Pro before proceeding on my “primary” PS5 save for the testing. It would be nice to be able to play across screens and, to a lesser extent, mimic the Switch’s “get up and go” portability, but the fact that you can’t do either is a minor annoyance. Given that cross-progression will be available across the Xbox One and Xbox Series versions of the game, I can’t help but ask what’s stopping Capcom from implementing it on PlayStation.

The PS4 and PS5 editions of Monster Hunter Rise are flawless, with only a little bug holding them back from being complete versions of one of Capcom’s best Monster Hunter games. The only player it might possibly dissatisfy is one who was hoping for a more significant visual upgrade. You can also look at Crash Bandicoot 5.

PC and Switch users may now enjoy Monster Hunter Rise. On PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S the game will release on January 20, 2023. In the spring of 2023, players may expect to see the Sunbreak add-on for PlayStation and Xbox.

To sum up it is clear that we have talked about Monster Hunter Rise. It is one of the most adventurous game with some enthralling features and graphics. If you would like to know more content, please visit our website greenenergyanalysis.com.
