Will There Ever Be a Queens Season 2?

The first season of ABC’s hit show Queens, which features some of the most talented women in R&B, hip hop, pop, and rap, is drawing to a conclusion.

There is a great deal of concern among Queens fans right now regarding the show’s future. Is there going to be a second season of Queens?

In the midst of preparing to perform and write new music, Naomi(Brandy Norwood), Valeria(Nadine Velazquez), and Jil(Naturi Naughton) are dealing with personal health and family problems.

In the meantime, Naomi and Eric (Taylor Sele) are getting closer to sorting out their romance. However,  Is there going to be a second season?

Will ‘Queens’ Have a Second Season?

There has been no word on whether or not the show will be renewed. The news regarding what’s next for our favorite queens will have to wait. The plot has a lot of potential, given where it is right now.

As a bonus, we’d love to hear more songs like “Until My Final Breath” by Brandy and “Girls Gonna Run That” by all four leads.

What can we expect if there is a second season? Definitely more music, as it appears that the queens will die on the hill of the songs.

The group’s ambition for a tour and a resurgence of their image will also be viewed in terms of Valeria’s sudden desire for motherhood and IVF treatments.

She’ll have additional difficulties if she’s pregnant while on tour. Obviously, we want to know how Tina and Jill’s and Eric and Naomi’s relationships evolve.

Season 2 of ‘Queens’ Is Still a Possibility, but the Show’s Fate Is Really Up in the Air

If the show is going to be renewed for a second season, the network will look at both ratings and viewership statistics to make their final decision.

The prior episodes of Queens had an average rating of .29 in the 18-49 demographic, placing the show in ABC’s bottom three, which is not promising for the future.

There were 1.31 million people that tuned in to watch it live, which isn’t terrible considering the number of cable cutters these days.

And the show has done well in delayed viewings, indicating that it may have more streaming potential than live network success. The show has also received a lot of positive reviews.

This season of Queens has received an impressive 100 percent rating from critics and a 68 percent rating from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes.

The chance exists that Queens could be picked up by another network or perhaps a streaming service if it is canceled. Then we might be able to watch Season 2 all at once if that happens.

On February 15 at 10 p.m. EST, ABC will air the Season 1 finale of Queens.
