A New York City woman was killed while pushing her baby daughter in a stroller by her ex-boyfriend, who has been ordered to remain in jail without bail. Prosecutors have called the shooting a “premeditated execution.”
On Saturday night, 22-year-old Isaac Argro appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court, where he was charged with second-degree murder and weapons possession.

Judge Eric Schumacher was told by prosecutor Brittany DeCesare that on the night of the murder, Argro wore all black and a ski mask while he paced back and forth in preparation to shoot his ex-girlfriend Azsia Johnson.
“This case can only be described as a premeditated execution,” DeCesare said, according to The New York Post. “The defendant persuaded the victim to meet after work and under the guise that he wanted to give the deceased items for their 3-month-old daughter.”
The lawyer representing Argro opted not to elaborate.
Johnson, 20, was shot around 8:30 p.m. on a Wednesday night on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, at the corner of Lexington Avenue and 95th Street. A medical examiner pronounced her dead there.
Police have reported that the 3-month-old child in the stroller was not injured but was nonetheless taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

It was reported that after the shooting, Argro allegedly called Johnson’s family and demanded to know the whereabouts of his child before threatening an unnamed individual as the “next” target.
Family members of Johnson claim that Argro beat and threatened to kill Johnson’s pregnant wife on a regular basis.
On Thursday, the court will once again hear arguments in the case of Argro.
