The Boys is an Amazon prime R-rated superhero satire show based on action, crime, drama, and science fiction. The second season of the show dropped in the summer of 2020.

The Boys Season 3 Release Date
The sources tell us that the filming for season 3 started on February 24th. As the second season was released in September 2020, we can expect season 3 this year.
The debut season for the boys was released in July 2019; the second season made its presence a year and three months later. Anticipating from the release pattern, the boys season 3 might come between July to September in 2021.

The Boys Plot and Storyline
The Boys is set in an alternate universe with superheroes. The boys feature a corporation called Vought International, where the super-powered individuals or the superheroes work for the general public, and this corporation markets and monetizes them.
The harsh reality is confronted when these heroic personalities are seen as arrogant and corrupt in real life. Contrary to another group called the eponymous boys who are vigilantes looking to bring down the seven, Vought’s corrupt superheroes.
The eponymous boys are led by Karl Urban playing Billy Butcher, who despises all the super-powered narcissist violent boys.
The Seven, on the other hand, is led by an egoistic unstable homeland. The story revolves around the conflict between the two groups as a new member joins their teams. Hugh “Hughie” Campbell Jr.(Jack Quaid), a civilian member, joins the group after his girlfriend Robin is killed by A-Train. A-Train is known as Queen Maeve in the show and is played by Dominique McElligot. She is a drug addict member of Vought International’s the seven.
Whereas Annie January, a young hopeful heroine, is forced to join the seven but is highly disappointed when she faces the truth about those she admires a lot.
In season 1, we saw the initial conflict between the boys and the Seven. It ended with Hughie and Annie’s romantic muddle despite their distrust for each other.
In season 2, the boys continued their efforts to defeat Vought despite being wanted by the government.
