The fifth season of THE CHI has been renewed by SHOWTIME. It’s a contemporary coming-of-age tale set in the South Side of Chicago where the residents are bought together via chance but are bound by a desire for belonging and redemption.

The show’s executive producers include Emmy(R) winner Lena Waithe (Twenties), Oscar(R), Emmy(R), and Globe(R) winner Common (for his work on Selma). The fourth season had broadcast its final episode on 1st August 2021, and it is on track to become the most-streamed SHOWTIME series ever. SHOWTIME has announced that the fifth season will air in 2022.
