Dance Gavin Dance, a popular band from Sacramento, abruptly called off their next U.S. tour. Their bassist Tim Feerick passed away suddenly on April 13, 2023.”After he passed, I mean, we were all devastated,” bandmate and friend Andrew Wells said.
He was well-advertised as the reason for the tour’s cancellation. Wells believes the band’s devoted following would have accepted the need to cancel the time had they been honest about the band’s inability to perform.
His mother, Bernadette Alaniz, believed he had died of a fentanyl overdose and reported him missing from their home in Sacramento. “When we couldn’t get ahold of him one day, we knew something has to be wrong,” Alaniz said. “I just wish I could have him back.”
Feerick’s mother permits them to continue their tour. “I know Timothy wouldn’t want them to not play, you know?” Alaniz told.
“They were sweet enough to ask us, is that OK? And we said yeah, go on tour.“The band also gave an invitation to Alaniz and other family members at Swanfest in Sacramento on April 23. The tour began there. Fans said, “Thank you, Tim.”
“It was hard not to cry, you know when people were chanting his name,” Alaniz recalled. When Tim passed away unexpectedly, his followers demanded answers.
What was Tim Feerick’s Cause of De@th?
It is unclear what caused his de@th, even though he was just 34 years old and in good health. Although the cause of his de@th has not been officially confirmed, his band has reported that he died of a heart attack and said on Instagram,
“We are absolutely devastated to share the news that our friend and bass player, Tim Feerick, passed away last night. We ask that you respect our privacy and that of Tim’s family while we deal with his heartbreaking and untimely loss.”
