Call of Duty Warzone 2 Map Heavily Inspired By Real World Location (Rumors)

Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale video game that was released on March 10, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will be released in 2022, while a mobile version will be in production by the same year.

2019’s  Modern Warfare 2 is a part of 2019’s Modern Warfare and is linked to 2020’s Black Ops: Cold War, 2021’s Call of Duty: Vanguard, and the upcoming Modern Warfare II (with an enhanced version of the original Warzone), but does not require the purchase or download of any other titles.

After the Cold War content was integrated, Raven Software was credited as the sole developer of Warzone, which was developed by Infinity Ward. Warzone was released by Activision. Some limited-time modes of Warzone allow up to 200 people to participate in online multiplayer warfare.

All of these modes can be played in a variety of different ways. Cross-platform play and progression between three titles are both included in the game.

Battle Royale and Plunder are the game’s two primary game modes.

New “Buy Stations” have been added to the map, where players can exchange their in-game currency for items. Loadout drops, which were previously shared with Modern Warfare’s normal modes prior to Season 6, v1.29, are now exclusive to Warzone and can be exchanged for a limited amount of Cash.

To acquire “killstreaks” and “gas masks,” players can utilize cash. Buildings can be looted, while players with cash can be killed. When Warzone first launched, it only supported three-person squads, known as Trios. Although Solos, Duos, and Quads have all been added to the game in free post-launch content updates.

In general, the game was praised by critics, with the maps earning particular attention. Activision announced in April 2021 that Warzone had more than 100 million active gamers.

The Latest Call of Duty: Warzone 2 leak Shows the Map’s South American Origin

The latest leak for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 reveals that the map is based on a real-world place in South America.

Activision and supporting firms like Raven Software have seen tremendous success with Call of Duty: Warzone, which was released in 2020 alongside the revived Modern Ware. Battle Royale matches or one of the various limited-time modes that appear from time to time are available to fans of this free-to-play live streaming title.

Activision plans to bring a massive battle between King Kong and Godzilla, two of gaming’s most legendary monsters, as a welcome change of pace.

To capitalize on Warzone’s success, Activision is bringing back the popular game mode in an all-new iteration. Some industry sources believe that Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will release in 2023, although there isn’t a lot of information out there about the game’s release date.

There have been a number of notable leakers who have released information on the game’s map despite Activision’s insistence on remaining mute on the subject.

TheGhostOfHope, a Warzone leaker, claims to have discovered fresh details about the map and its context. Warzone 2’s map, according to the leaker, will be heavily influenced by Medellin, Colombia.

There are a variety of landscapes to explore in the Andes Mountains, including rainforests, soaring buildings, and even urban areas, all of which should translate well to a massive battle royale map like Verdansk.

Since none of this information has been confirmed or is deemed official at this time, it should be treated with caution by fans.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s alleged theme does fit the location. As previously reported, the game will feature a battle between the Medellin Cartel, led by Pablo Escobar, and a slew of drug organizations from Columbia. With Infinity Ward now again in charge of production, Warzone 2 and the annual Call of Duty campaign are likely to share a lot of content.

TheGhostOfHope released a Warzone 2 map rumor back in February that appears to be at odds with this most recent information, despite it being unofficial. According to that source, the Atacama Desert in Chile, another South American country, is where the map is expected to take place. Even if it was just supposition, it appears that theory is now erroneous with the most recent update.

You may play Call of Duty: Warzone right now on your PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox One X/S.
