Inflation Relief: New $1,050 Stimulus Check For Californians; Dates And How To Apply?
In about two weeks, millions of people in the great state of California will start receiving $1,050 in direct payments. Now is the time to see if you qualify for these payments as a California resident. On October 7, Californians will begin receiving their inflation relief checks.
The Franchise Tax Board has announced that these refunds will be distributed in installments, via direct deposit, similar to the way you received your previous stimulus checks. Here’s what we’ve learned from our contacts at Nexstar. If you claimed a state tax refund in 2020 by filing electronically and having the money deposited directly into your bank account, this is how you will receive the Middle-Class Tax Refund in 2021.
Who Will Get the Check First?
Residents who received the initial or subsequent installments of the Golden State Stimulus payments via direct deposit will reportedly be the first to receive this money. Beginning on October 7 and continuing through October 25th, payments will be made to all of those individuals. From the 28th of October through the 14th of November, all the other payments will be processed.
Between October 25 and December 10, debit cards will be mailed to people who are not set up for direct deposits or who received payments via debit card in the previous year. On January 15, 2023, we will enter the final phase. The Franchise Tax Board has not yet announced the schedule for distributing the payments.
90 percent of payments will be made in October, and 95 percent will be distributed by the end of 2022. Around 23 million people in California are receiving these payments, according to state officials, including the governor.
