Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. is a Kourtney Kang-created American family medical drama that serves light entertainment to the audience. It is based on the 1989–93 ABC television series Doogie Howser. The series aired just a couple of months back on Disney+ on September 8, 2021.

In April 2020, it was announced that a female-led version of Doogie Howser, M.D. would be produced at Disney+ by Kourtney Kang.

The plot is set in present-day Hawaii and centered on Lahela Kamealoha or Doogie, a young prodigy who balances her school life, family life, and medical career. This series did not exactly follow the tale of Doogie Howser, M.D., but the characters acknowledged the series as a TV show’s story and conferred the pet name “Doogie” on Lahela about the original series.
