In addition, he had residences in Greenwich Village in New York City, Key West, Florida, and Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. Despite never having tied the knot, Silverstein was rumoured to be a highly promiscuous guest at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy houses. In 1970, he had a daughter named Shoshanna with Susan Hastings, who he met at the Playboy Mansion. Hastings died in 1975, and Shoshanna died in 1982 after having an aneurysm.
