No official announcement has been made from the side of filmmakers for Meg 2. We expect that the film will be released in 2023, as the script has been completed and is ready to direct and shoot anytime.

Until now, there is no official plot declared yet from the side of creators for the next season but there are so many speculations being made on the basis of the first season conclusion.
In the first season, we witnessed that The Meg is mainly a storyline about Jonas coming to terms with his feelings for Suyin while also realizing that he is not ready for a relationship, it does end on an open note with Jonas exploring a vacation with Suyin and her daughter Meiying.
More importantly, the movie ends with the sounds of other Megalodons in the sea, suggesting that more of Meg’s species have escaped the trench and are ready to cause havoc.
