The Oneplus 11 Concept Has Liquid Cooling Like That Found In PCs

After several hints, OnePlus debuted its latest experimental smartphone, which has more immediate benefits. The OnePlus 11 Concept, inspired by high-end gaming PCs, uses the “Active CryoFlux” liquid cooling system.

A piezoelectric ceramic micropump circulates cooling fluid through the phone’s visible internal pipelines, all without “substantially” adding to the phone’s overall size.

In turn,

OnePlus believes this leads to a modest but observable increase in performance. The company claims that the decrease in temperature increases frame rates in games by up to four frames per second and cuts charging times in half.

Such numbers probably won’t convince you to upgrade your phone immediately, but they could help you get the most out of it. From then on out, the only real difference between this and the regular OnePlus 11 First Impressions: Look Beyond The Skin For This One.

The most noticeable alterations are the blue LED lights and the exposed pipes, but there is also a camera hump with delicate guilloché engraving, like that found on the face of a high-end wristwatch. There are currently no plans to put the OnePlus 11 Concept into production.

However, it is not out of the question that liquid cooling and design methods will make their way into future smartphones. While this won’t compare to the pure cooling power of top-tier gaming smartphones, it could make OnePlus more appealing to those who value speed over bulk.

First Step In Prolonged Oneplus Foldable Tease

This week, we discovered that OnePlus confirmed the launch of its first foldable phone in 2023; flip phone also expected. The glimpse we’re receiving today is only a fraction of what it may be like. That’s what we’re assuming this is, anyway.

Though we can’t make out much detail due to technical limitations, the device’s hinge system seems quite polished. Truthfully, we have no idea what we’re looking at because there are no apparent breaks in the arc of the frame. Unless, of course, OnePlus has discovered a form of malleable metal. Unlikely.

To further emphasize that it appears to be a piece of bent metal, here is an enhanced version of the image above. This may be merely meant to generate excitement about the concept of a foldable rather than provide a glimpse of the finished product.

That seems more likely that way, given the evidence at hand. However, it’s possible OP is simply reimagining the aesthetic possibilities of foldables and their mechanical functionality, which would be fantastic. We can only assume that the device will be teased for quite some time. Given that OnePlus made it, you know it’s good.
