Finally, the long-awaited release date for Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy Season 3 has been teased in a new trailer.
At the end of Season 2, Reginald Hargreeves arrived in an alternate 2019, where Reginald Hargreeves is still alive and the Umbrella Academy does not exist. The 17-second clip previews the conflict between the pupils of the Umbrella Academy and those of Sparrow Academy.
There are five new students at the Sparrow Academy, a floating green cube, and Ben, to everyone’s surprise.
It’s hard to guess what will happen in Season 3 despite recent teases from Euphoria star Javon Walton who stated, “So, it’s all pretty private right now, including my character, but [showrunner] Steve Blackman and [executive producer] Jeff King did an amazing job developing my character… And it’s not part of the Sparrow Academy. Everybody thinks it’s pretty crazy, what my character is. For sure people aren’t going to be able to leak this one. It is too random for people to be able to leak it, but it’s a really lovable character and I can’t wait for you all to see.”
Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy will deviate even more from the graphic novel than prior seasons, according to Emmy Raver-Lampman, who plays Allison Hargreeves. According to the actor, “I think there will always be a connection there, but the further we get into The Umbrella Academy, the TV show, I think it’s finding its own way”.
Umbrella Academy Season 3 Synopsis
When the Umbrella Academy returns home, they’re confident that they’ve halted the apocalypse of 1963 and corrected this god-awful chronology for good. Things aren’t precisely how they left them after a little celebration. The Sparrow Academy is open to anyone.
The Sparrows and the Umbrellas meet head-on in a ferocious showdown that proves to be the least of everyone’s worries. All they have to do now is convince Dad’s new family, who may be better, to help them fix what their arrival caused to go awry.
This new universe may show more than a blip in the timeline. Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?
The Umbrella Academy is slated to release on 22nd June.
