Betty White’s Cause of Death Revealed

The autopsy results for Betty White’s death have been released.

Cerebrovascular accident was listed as the cause of death on the death certificate obtained on Monday for the Golden Girls star, who passed away on December 31 at the age of 99.

Stroke is the general name for a cerebrovascular accident, the interruption of blood supply to the brain. Clots and ruptured brain arteries are common culprits in this condition’s onset.

White had a stroke six days before she passed away, as stated on her death certificate.

According to a reliable source, “The stroke was rather minor. In her sleep, she quietly passed away.”

A close friend and agent of White’s, Jeff Witjas, reveals, “Betty passed in her sleep peacefully without pain. This is the most important thing and comforts me as her dear friend. Anything else is private to Betty.”

Actress Betty White “died quietly in her sleep at her home” on December 31, according to a statement released by her agent and close friend, Jeff Witjas.

“Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever,” Witjas said. “I will miss her terribly, and so will the animal world she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband, Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.”

Witjas later addressed the rumors, saying the actress did not die from complications from the COVID-19 booster dose she received on December 28.

On January 3, Witjas released a statement denying her death was due to a booster shot given three days prior. “She died of natural causes. Her death should not be politicized — that is not the life she lived.”

In anticipation of her 100th birthday on January 17, White recently spoke about how she was feeling.

“I’m so lucky to be in such good health and feel so good at this age,” she said. “It’s amazing.”

During an interview with New York Times columnist Frank Bruni for TimesTalks in 2012, White declared that she was “neither afraid nor terrified” about dying. She said that her mother’s attitude affected her perspective and that she was “glad as a lark to remain around as long as I can.”

White told Bruni, “My mother had a fantastic approach to death.” “We know we have managed to find out practically anything that exists,” she once stated, “but nobody understands… what happens at that point when it’s over.”

Witjas said on Friday that he would “frequently” remind her of the support from her admirers during her last few days.

“Even when she wasn’t working, I said, ‘Betty, millions of people out there are still asking for you. You’re getting your fan letters, I’m getting offers for you,'” he said. “I don’t know if she ever embraced it, [or] really, really felt it. The extent of it. I don’t. I always reinforced it with her because I felt she should know that. While sitting at home, I never wanted her to think that the world had passed her by. It never did.”

“Betty lived a great life, and she lived a life that she chose,” he added. “She was happy. Whenever I told her, ‘Betty, you’re loved,’ she would look at me with a wry smile and say, ‘Really?’ I hope she knew. I think she did. It was something beyond love.”
