Amazon Prime Video’s documentary series Clarkson’s Farm, in which Jeremy Clarkson raises cattle instead of vehicles, debuted on our screens in June 2021.
Documenting The Grand Tour presenter’s journey as the proud owner of a 1,000-acre Cotswolds farm is exactly what the show accomplishes. Due to lack of agricultural expertise, Jeremy Clarkson is completely dependent on his crew, who teaches him the ropes and are more than pleased to point out his mistakes, which occur frequently.
Prior to airing the show, he claimed, “I’ve had the farm since 2008, but I haven’t really been involved with it at all.”
“I genuinely thought you put seeds in the ground, weather happens and then food grows. So I thought, ‘That’s not difficult,’ but it’s phenomenally difficult and the heartache is extraordinary, plus it’s phenomenally badly paid. So I thought, if I get someone to film me doing it, that will offset some of the losses.”
Now that a second season has been announced, fans can’t wait to see what craziness the squad gets up to in the coming months.
Everything you need to know is outlined here.
Release Date for Clarksons Farm Season 2
Season two of the popular television show has been approved and filming is already underway. The premiere date has not been announced, although it is expected to be in 2022.
This first season was thrown into chaos by the coronavirus outbreak, with the weather also having a huge impact on the capacity to film and farm.
Temperatures are expected to soar in 2021, with heatwaves and storms wreaking havoc across the country. Snow is also expected to fall at some point.
On Amazon, more than 4,500 people gave season one a five-star rating, so it seemed practically a given that season two would follow. However, there was a rumor that the show had been canceled at one point.
A few awards later, it’s clear that the audience has fallen in love with the new rural Clarkson and his band of farming brothers.
The Cast of Clarksons Farm Season 2
Confirmed! The Diddly Squat Farm gang is back with Clarkson for more rural shenanigans. The gang includes:-
Jeremy Clarkson is the host of Top Gear and The Grand Tour, as well as an author, and is a well-known name in the world of motor journalism. After moving to Oxfordshire, he joined the Chipping Norton group.
A specialist in the construction and upkeep of dry stone walls, which comprise the farm’s 40-mile perimeter, he is unrelated to Kaleb Cooper. His discussions with Clarkson are polite but often incoherent due to his strong local accent.
She is a former model, actress, reality TV star, and Clarkson’s girlfriend who helps run the farm shop.
He is a teenage farm worker from Chipping Norton who farms independently in Heythrop under Clarkson’s direction but is also employed by Clarkson as a personal assistant. Mr. Clarkson’s farm had previously employed him as a farmhand before Clarkson took over as manager.
Additionally, land agent “Cheerful” Charlie Ireland will be on hand to keep Jeremy and the staff in check.
Kaleb, who is frequently seen as the expert on Diddly Squat life, is not a lover of the city lifestyle and is ready to live in his own little rural paradise. When it comes to Jeremy, he’s completely naive about the world beyond the city.
“I’m the boss really,” the teenage farmer stated on This Morning. “Don’t get me wrong – he is my boss, he’s a boss and a friend. He doesn’t listen to me but the good thing is he has an interest in farming which makes it a lot easier. That’s why I shout at him and I get genuinely angry when he makes a mistake.”
According to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire host, the government’s lack of support for the farming industry is like “ethnic cleansing” for young farmers like Kaleb.
According to Clarkson, “Kaleb’s fantastic but it worries me how he’ll ever be able to afford his own farm.”
“He’s up against hedge-fund managers now who don’t necessarily want to farm it.”
At least 60% self-sufficiency in the UK’s food market should be a government’s goal, says Clarkson. In addition, he encourages people to buy British goods, arguing that they are healthier and of higher quality, because they are grown here.
“When you pick up a bit of meat in a supermarket and it’s got a little red tractor on it, it was produced in Britain. Buy it because some poor sod in the Peak District has been out rearing in the cold at 3 am.”
He tells people not to be afraid to buy local goods, even though they may be more expensive.
He says, “I urge [readers] who see the difference between cost and value to think, ‘All right, it’s 5p more to buy this meat with a red tractor on it, but I’m getting better food and helping British farming’.”
